DAY 01: [AIRPORT –COLOMBO– APPROX 30 MINUTES DRIVE]

DAY 02: [COLOMBO–SIGIRIYA– APPROX 04 HOURS DRIVE]
After Breakfast 08.30 AM checkout and proceed to Sigiriya. Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Providing a caring home for abandoned and wounded elephants, it is a much-loved destination for tourists and locals alike. Here, adults and baby elephants from around Sri Lanka thrive, and a captive breeding program is proving to be highly successful. The feeding and bathing times are generally the ideal times to visit when you can observe these gentle giants at their best. Sigiriya is the 5th Century ‘Fortressin the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within it triple-moated defence the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of frescoes of life-sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour. DAY 03: [SIGIRIYA –KANDY –APPROX 03 HOURS DRIVE]
After the breakfast 09.00 AM transfer to Kandy en route visit the Dambulla cave temple & Spice Garden. Dambullais famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves dates to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings are also found here. Further along your way you will visit a spice garden where you can touch and feel various organic herbs and spices. Evening enjoy Kandy city tour. Kandy City tour The hill capital of Sri Lanka; Kandy, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Not only is it a beautiful city surrounded by mountains, it is also home to significant historic and religious attractions such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Kandy Lake The Kandy Lake is a Great place to People to watch in the shade of the ancient trees. Go for a walk with your travel buddy One of the unique aspects of Kandy as its laidback streets. DAY 04: [KANDY –NUWARAELIYA - APPROX 03 HOURS DRIVE]
After the breakfast 08.30 AM checkout from the hotel & transfer to Nuwaraeliya en route visit Sri bhaktha hanuman temple and tea factory. Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple: In the hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sita, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka built the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple which is visited by thousands of devotees every year. Evening enjoy Nuwaraeliya city tour. Tea is one of the main sources of foreign exchange for Sri Lanka and recognized as Ceylon Tea is renowned for its high – quality aroma and taste. Visit the spectacular Sitha AmmanKovil According to legend, Seetha Amman temple is said to be the place that Ravana, King of Lanka kept Sita during his time! Have a Taste of Unique Nuwara Try some of the freshest strawberries right from the very hub of the delicious and tangy fruit and explore he city for easts line the famous potato spiral. Smell the bloom at Hakgala Gardens At 5400 ft above sea level the hakgala botanical garden has a history dating back to 1862. Take a walk amidst the blooms and become captivated Explore the city’s Colonial History Nuwara Eliya is full of colonial building such as the famous Post Office which is housed in an 1894 Tudo Manor. overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 05: [NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA - YALA –– APPROX 05 HRS DRIVE]
After Breakfast check out and proceed to yala via Ella. Walk along the rails on the Nine Arch Bridge in Ella. The Nine Arches Bridge is 300m long, rises to a height of 80ft in height and was commissioned by the British in 1921 as part of their comprehensive network of railway lines that would enable them to carry tea from the plantations down to the port cities. With a small 30- minute walk through the woods, you will reach a piece of beautiful architecture hidden between lush green tea fields. Get a fresh shower at the Ravanafall Ravana Falls has become a very popular site with both locals and foreigners stopping by to enjoy this piece of nature and a cooldown in the water. Evening proceeds to Yala. Overnight stay at Yala. (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 06: [YALA - BENTOTA– APPROX 05 HRS DRIVE]
Morning 5.30 AM visit yala national park. Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now pen to the public and also adjoining parks. Yala is situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Ironically, the park was initially used as a hunting ground for the elite under British rule. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents is the world’s biggest concentration of leopards. Return back to the hotel for Breakfast, After Breakfast checkout from the hotel & proceed to Bentota. Enroute visit Galle fort, Galle Fort - The Galle Fort is the best preserved among the colonial forts in Sri Lanka. People live within the fort today and the area has a heavy population of artistic types. Madu river Boat Ride - The bio-diversity of the Madu River is of monumental signification when considering the wide ranges of aquatic and avian life as well as wetland dwelling amphibians, reptiles, mammals that inhabit the environs of this natural treasure. A total of 11 species of agnatic mollusks and 14 land dwelling mollusks are found in this system. 70 species of fish, 31 types of reptiles, and 50 kinds of butterflies are just some of colorful array of wildlife that inhabits this abundantly bustling eco-system. Bird watchers will be pleased to know that 111 species of bird have been identified in the mangrove formed environs of the river, and has been known to host several types of migratory birds. Turtle Hatchery at Kosgoda - a successful conservation effort established to protect Sri Lanka's turtles from extinction. Overnight stay at Bentota/Kalutara.(Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 07: [BENTOTA– COLOMBO - APPROX 02 HRS DRIVE]
After breakfast check out and transfer to Colombo. Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith's quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. Check –inn & relax. Overnight stay in Colombo. (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 08: [COLOMBO– AIRPORT - APPROX 30 MINUTES DRIVE]
