Day 3 – 22nd May , 2025 , Ghent City Tour, Brussels City Tour, Paris (B/L/D)
Ghent City Tour
Start your orientation tour with a brief introduction at Vrijdagmarkt and then go on an explorer journey for 1.5 to 2 hours. During this tour you will find out where the name Ghent comes from and visit the very origins of our city, which is almost 1400 years old. Explore sites such as our yacht harbour (Portus Ganda), the tree medieval towers (Saint Bavo Cathedral, the Ghent Belfry and Saint Nicholas Church) and the historical harbour with Graslei and Korenlei quays, where the hustle and bustle never cease. It is the also area where all trade took place during the late medieval times, which resulted in Ghent being the most prosperous city in Northern Europe at the time. Ghent is however so much more than this. It is the home of 3 bougienages, some exquisite museums, parks, host of the 1913 World Expo and capital of street art (and we do not just mean the popular Graffiti Street). Furthermore, it is a lively city where visitors, residents and students meet. Learn the history at sights such as the 13th century Castle of Gerald the Devil, and St. Bavo’s Cathedral, where you can learn about “The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb” by the Van Eyck brothers. Hear why Ghent’s inhabitants are known as noose-bearers as you visit the Belfry of Ghent and the Town Hall. Pass by medieval Gravensteen Castle and enter the pretty Patershol neighborhood. Explore Ghent’s trading history at the Great Butchers’ Hall, Old Fish Market and Friday Market.
Brussels City Tour
Start the orientation tour by driving along the magnificent St. Michael’s cathedral, towards Our Ladies church of Laeken, where the crypt of the Royal Family is situated. Continue along the Royal Residence towards the world-famous Atomium, the Chinese Pavillion and the Japanese Tower. We will continue our journey to the National Basilica of Koekelberg, with its splendid art-deco interior and one of the most imposing churches in Europe. Situated on a hill, two lifts bring us even higher some 53 meters above the ground, where you will have a splendid view of the city. Return to the city centre, we pass along the Column of Congress towards the Place Royale, and the Sablon district with its elegant stores. We reach the Royal Palace and enter the European district with the buildings and offices of the European Parliament, the European Commission and Council of Ministers. Arrive in the Cinquantenaire district and see The Triumphal Arch, exceptional museums and splendid Art Nouveau houses. Passing the Royal Parc and the Belgian Parliament, we drive back to the city centre. The orientation tour includes Belgium’s favourite Manneken Pis Statue – a small bronze statue of a little peeing boy. The tour ends with a stroll to Brussels’ beautiful Grand’ Palace.

Day 4 – 23rd May , 2025 , Paris Tour, Reims (B/L/D)
Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889. Locally nicknamed “La dame de fer” (French for “Iron Lady”), it was constructed as the centrepiece of the 1889 World’s Fair, and to crown the centennial anniversary of the French Revolution. Although initially criticised by some of France’s leading artists and intellectuals for its design, it has since become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument with an entrance fee in the world. The tower is 330 metres (1,083 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building, and the tallest structure in Paris. Its base is square, measuring 125 metres (410 ft) on each side.
The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels. The top level’s upper platform is 276 m (906 ft) above the ground—the highest observation deck accessible to the public in the European Union. The climb from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the climb from the first level to the second, making the entire ascent a 600 step climb. Although there is a staircase to the top level, it is usually accessible only by lift.

Reims City Tour
Most people come to Reims lured by its bubbles. Known as the de facto capital of the Champagne Region, Reims boasts majestic champagne houses and vast expanses of vineyards, preparing the next batch for renowned brands like Moet and Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, or Perrier Jouet. But beyond the fizz, Reims holds a profound historical significance. Many might not know that this town has witnessed numerous pivotal moments in French history. It bore immense damage during WWI and later, in WWII, was the stage for the peace treaty’s signing that concluded the war. While I have a penchant for champagne, it’s essential to pause and recognize the town’s historical depth. As we wander its streets, you’ll discover landmarks that harken back even to ancient times. Whether you’re fascinated by the Roman era in Reims or the events of WWII, there’s something here for every history enthusiast—even if you’re someone who can’t distinguish between Chardonnay and Munier grapes. You will pass by Porte de Mars (3rd Century AD), Cryptoporticus (3rd Century AD), Cathédrale Notre-Dame (12th Century AD), The Basilica Of St-Remi (12th Century AD), Palace of Tau (12th Century AD), Musee-Hotel Le Vergeur (16th Century AD), Musée de la Reddition (20th Century AD), Carnegie Library of Reims.

The town’s past and present are best discovered during an orientation tour of the city. Saarbrücken’s architectural character is dominated by the 18th-century Baroque architect Friedrich Joachim Stengel’s buildings, which are scattered all around the town centre. The existence of Saarbrücken was first documented in 999 under the name “Castellum Sarabrucca”. The Ludwig’s church (Ludwigskirche), the most prominent example of a “place royal” architecture, is the tireless architect Stengel’s masterpiece. The Neo-Gothic City Hall is dominated by the 180 ft / 54 m tower, from which the carillon sounds daily at 3:15 pm and 7:19 pm. The St. Johanner Marktet Square with its boutiques, bars, bistros and restaurants is the essence of Saarbrücken life. The Old Bridge (Alte Brücke) was erected by Charles V in 1546 and is one of the city’s oldest constructions. As one of the few large parks in Germany in the style of the 1950s and 1960s, the German-French Garden offers recreation and relaxation for all generations. The Saarbrücker Staden – the green oasis on the river Saar. The green promenade with beer gardens and playgrounds invites to relax on summer days. The Basilica St. Johann was erected by Stengel between 1754 and 1758. The memorial site “The Interrupted Forest” commemorates the Jews of Saarland who were murdered during the Nazi era. The steeple of the late Gothic Castle Church (Schlosskirche) dating from the 15th century was given a Baroque crest by Stengel in 1743.

Gstaad City Tour
Gstaad, the main village of the Saanenland – the western corner of the Bernese Oberland – is unique in so many ways. All year round, the region offers something for everyone: visitors will find leisure activities and room for enjoyment combined with a virtually unprecedented range of cultural and sporting activities – nestled in a magnificent Alpine landscape. Despite a history of tourism dating back more than 100 years, a genuine Alpine lifestyle still prevails in the Saanenland region. For instance, it is home to approx. 150 agricultural businesses, 80 alps still in operation and about 7,000 cows. Local products, such as cheese and meat as well as craft traditions, are very popular. Houses with a chalet architectural style dominate the villages in the region – some of the buildings date from the 15th century. The combination of the special experiences for which Gstaad is so famous is unrivalled. It cannot be found anywhere else and makes Gstaad the “last paradise in a crazy world” (quote by Julie Andrews, a regular visitor to Gstaad). Gstaad’s internationally renowned reputation is associated with luxury and high society, but this car-free, friendly and charming village full of restored weathered-wood chalets between five gently sloping valleys is pleasing a larger crowd. Gstaad’s slogan “come up, slow down” emphasises its wide range of offers, which can be consumed in peace and quiet.
Many summertime tourists visit Gstaad for the endless walking paths along flowering meadows in a mountain world where the scenery is still unspoilt. In July, Gstaad becomes the “Alpine Capital of Major Events” as it plays host to several world-class events such as the Beach Volleyball World Tournament, the ATP Suisse Tennis Open, or the Menuhin Classic Music Festival to mention just a few of the 1,000 cultural and sporting events each year. During the winter season, the Saanenland provides for an extensive ski region with more than 220 km (140 miles) of wide runs that can easily be reached by nearly 60 mountain rides. But also non-skiers need not feel left out – as mentioned above, Gstaad offers something for everyone. Gstaad is most preferred location for Bollywood. Some of the famous movies shot at thus location include DDLJ, Haan Maine BHI Pyaar Kiya Saanen: Dhadkan, Hero no. 1, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge Veer Zara, Mujshe Shaadi Karogi, Faasle, Chandni
Interlaken

The city features various hotels and mountain tours making it a gateway to the beautiful Jungfrau region. Our Interlaken Switzerland vacation guide can help you get the most out of your visit to this world class destination.

Jungfrau Excursion (Optional)
Immerse yourself now in the high alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock and discover the highlights of the Jungfrau Region. The Jungfraujoch is a glacier saddle (a connecting ridge) on the higher slopes of the Aletsch Glacier. It is part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch region and is located midway between Interlaken and Fiesch in Switzerland. You can get to Jungfraujoch only by rail. Jungfraujoch holds the record for being Europe’s highest railway line. That’s probably why it’s nicknamed the ‘Top of Europe’. Situated in the stunning Jungfrau-Aletsch region of the Swiss Alps (a UNESCO World Natural Heritage spot), this line runs from Kleine Scheidegg in the Bernese Oberland right up to the pass between the Jungfrau and Mönch peaks. You can board the train from Eiger Glacier station. As the train ascends through the Swiss Alps, the panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and pristine glaciers are simply mesmerizing. What’s equally amazing is the cogwheel train itself — which is designed to climb steep surfaces. The railway passes through the 7 km-long tunnel starting from Kleine Scheidegg station up to Jungfraujoch. It was built over a century ago and helps protect the line from snow and extreme weather. During its ascent to the summit, the train briefly stops to allow passengers to enjoy the stunning views from the midway station — the Eismeer Station. It has a unique combination of being both an open-air observation platform and a fully enclosed train stop. Here are some of the things you can do at Jungfraujoch: Alpine Sensation – A 250-meter corridor that connects the Eispalast and Sphinx Observation Deck. It features memorial tablets to honor the miners who connected the Jungfraujoch to the railway station. Ice Palace – A tour that takes you from the Sphinx Hall to the Ice Palace, with escalators for steeper areas. The tour includes “experience alcoves” that showcase the history of the Jungfrau Railway and the development of tourism in the Alps. Sphinx Observatory – Offers panoramic views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps, and the surrounding peaks.

Day 10 – 29th May , 2025 , St. Moritz City Tour (Switzerland), Milan City Tour (B/L/D)
St. Moritz City Tour
Chic, elegant and exclusive with a cosmopolitan ambiance, St. Moritz is one of the most famous resorts in the world. For more than a century, St. Moritz, with its spectacular scenery and fine weather, has been the playground of the rich and famous. St. Moritz has continued to stay a world class resort that attracts winter sport fans from all around the world. Surrounded by Alps peaks towering 3,000 meters or more, the town of St. Moritz has a population of 5,000 and is one of the world’s richest places. St. Moritz is the region’s flagship resort and it is here that the notion of winter sports holidays was invented last century – by the British, who certainly could not have chosen a finer location anywhere in the world. Sprawled across a sunny mountainside with spectacular views of the Engadine valley, St. Moritz is actually not only very pretty to look at, but it is the most fantastic place to stay in and look out from. St. Moritz has twice hosted the Winter Olympics (1928 and 1 948), and skiing conditions are great from Christmas until late April. It also hosted numerous bobsledding and ski world cups. Tourists can experience the thrills of one of these Olympic sports, bobsledding. Bob taxis, with two riders, take visitors down the Olympic run only three seconds slower than the champions. The town of St. Moritz is very diverse, both regarding its population as well as the activities that can be pursued here. Regarding the population, the majority is German speaking, but there is also a significant Italian population due to its proximity to the Italian border. Regarding the activities there are various ways to spend one’s time; a visitor can indulge in the pleasures of nature, culture, sports or one can simply relax admiring the beautiful scenery around. It is also a town with a tradition of innovation that in 1878 brought St. Moritz Switzerland’s first electric light and in 1892 the first electric tramcar. But 130 years ago St. Moritz was a summer holiday spot, particularly for escapees from Britain’s uncertain weather. On a bet from their hotelkeeper (who offered free accommodation if they didn’t like it,) a group of Britons stayed over into winter. They did like it. After all, St. Moritz gets 320 days of sunshine a year and the cold is “dry. Still, it was a bit of a bore. So they started skating on the lake below the town. Then they introduced a daredevil one-man sled run called the Cresta. Now St. Moritz has horseracing on ice, polo on ice, greyhound racing on ice, cricket on ice, besides skiing, year-round skating, ice hockey and a cross-country marathon for 12,000 skiers. Summer offers nearly as much. St. Moritz is situated in the long Engadin Valley with many lakes and the rushing Inn River, whose waters end up in the Danube. There is sailing on Lake St. Moritz, windsurfing on Lake Maloja, which has a famous consistent afternoon wind and fishing all around. June to October, the Swiss resort is full of middle-class vacationers. The four five-star hotels, stay open during these months as well. While St. Moritz is of course an up-market resort – almost two-thirds of its hotels are in the four-or five-star category – it is by no means as exclusive as it is sometimes made out to be. People of reasonably modest incomes can have just as much fun in St. Moritz as the billionaires, even if they cannot afford caviar and champagne. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs. No symbol encapsulates the essence of Venice as a gondola. A trip to the ancient city is considered incomplete without taking a romantic ride in the gondola. Prepare to be enamoured by the city’s beauty while the gondola gently travels across placid water. Gondolas have long been used as a poetic device by poets like Robert Browning and Samuel Rogers to express love towards their partners, and maybe it’s time to take a cue! Here’s what you can expect on a gondola ride (romantic or otherwise) in Venice. Once you board your gondola sit back, relax, and prepare to be spirited away! Float down Venice’s canals, see its top sights and finally see what the hype is about (trust us, it’s worth it!).
Padua

A few short steps will bring us to one of the most photographed staircases in the world: The Spanish Steps. The sky was the limit when it came to building temples to the Gods of Ancient Rome, and hear the details of how 16 Corinthian columns weighing 60 tons each were quarried in Egypt, dragged for more than 100 km to the River Nile, and then shipped across the Mediterranean to prop up this architectural masterpiece. View the massive oculus at the top of the dome and the tombs of both Raphael and the first king of unified Italy before making the short walk to San Luigi de Francesci church to admire a trio of paintings by Caravaggio, the father of the Chiaroscuro technique. Our final leg of this Roman journey will be Piazza Navona, a picturesque promenade that lies above what was once Emperor Domitian’s stadium. Enjoy the scene of buskers and street artists while Bernini’s remarkable Baroque fountains take center stage. While you take in the stunning Fountain of Four Rivers, your guide will tell the tale of a 17th-century feud between rival artists Bernini and Borromini that would be immortalized in their masterpieces. Before we bid farewell to Italy, we will have a photo stop at Colosseum, the elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, just east of the Roman Forum.
